Salisbury Departure (6 Hour Guided Tour)

Experience Stonehenge as never before. Be guided through the landscape by our local expert and step beyond the ropes to enter the inner circle of Stonehenge for this special access visit.

You can choose whether to join this tour in Salisbury or to start from Bath and enjoy a fully guided drive through the English countryside to Salisbury, where your guide will offer a quick orientation walk, leaving you with time to explore the magnificent cathedral and medieval streets before we head on to Stonehenge.

Stonehenge Special Access tour - travelling from London or Bath: It is possible to catch a train from London or Bath to Salisbury to join our tour. Afterwards we can drop you at Salisbury railway station to return to your destination.

2 hours to explore the beautiful city of Salisbury, its cathedral boasting Britain’s tallest spire and 13th century chapter house exhibiting the finest of four original 1215 Magna Carta manuscripts.

Salisbury Cathedral cloister has an excellent refectory restaurant, serving reasonably priced home cooked food. SEE MENU. One of our favourites is home-made scones with unlimited jam and cream.

After meeting our expert from Stonehenge and Salisbury Guided Tours, we will pass Old Sarum, the site of the earliest settlement of Salisbury.

Return to Bath or drop off at Salisbury train station. It is usually possible to catch a train back to London after this tour. (Please let us know, when booking, if you have any onward travel plans).

This tour involves the option of a guided walk across open grassland. You will need to bring suitable warm, waterproof clothing and shoes as it can get quite chilly at Stonehenge.

We offer a very special experience with our Stonehenge inner circle tour from Salisbury, as well as arranging private tours. Numbers are very strictly limited to the inner circle and demand always outstrips supply so early booking is advisable.
