Explore
the impressive architechure of the Royal Crescent and The
Circus, Pultney Bridge and the magnificent weir, The Abbey,
Assembley Rooms and Theatre Royal and hear about the history,
legends and characters which have shaped Bath through the
ages.
Afterwards, visit the Roman Baths and Museum and Pump Rooms
and explore Bath at your leisure. Sample the spring waters,
explore the paved passages, narrow streets and quaint shops.
Maybe enjoy lunch in one of the many excellent pubs and restaurants
or enjoy a picnic by the rushing waters of the Weir and River
Avon. We spend well over 3 hrs in Bath so plenty of time enjoy
this beautiful city, a living museum.
Afterwards,
we enjoy a scenic drive through the leafy lanes of the Cotwolds
to visit Stonehenge Stone Circle.
We
also visit the medieval village of Lacock which has hardly
changed in the past 200 years. With its magnificent abbey,
half timbered cottages and greystone houses it recently provided
the perfect setting for the filming of Janes Austen's "Pride
and Prejudice".
